Interactive Commentary
When creating budget plans, the View Comments function allows you to assign tasks to team members, engage in interactive commentary by adding and replying to comments, and receive real-time updates via email notifications.
This feature is available to users on Budget Planner v1.2.0 and higher.
Follow these steps to create tasks and add comments:
- Select the Manage working versions module.
- Select the desired version from the list and then click the View button.
- Select a department and then click the View Comments button.
- Select the cell where you want to add a comment and then click the View Comments button. The Manage tasks and comments panel displays.
- Fill in the following details:
- Task - Enter a brief description.
- Responsible - Set the assignee.
- Click the Save Changes button. The # and Status fields are populated.
- Enter a comment in the text field under Comment and click the Save Changes button.
The relevant users will receive email notifications. Follow these steps to reply to comments:
- Click the link provided in the email to navigate to the Manage tasks and comments panel directly, or alternatively, select the cell containing the task and comment icon in the same version and click the View Comments button.
- Add new comments to the task and click the Save Changes button.
The comments from current users appear in blue, while the replies appear in white. The Manage tasks and comments panel functions as a messenger for interactive commentary.
