The new Prevent Auto Refresh setting in Data Interaction blocks grid updates when you have unsaved changes. It prompts you to save or discard your edits, preventing unintentional loss. Enabling this setting creates a block period for automatic refresh.

UI Enhancements

This release introduces several user interface (UI) enhancements to improve the overall user experience. Here are the key updates:

  • Power XL ribbon
    • Reorganized the Power XL ribbon, grouping related settings for easier navigation.
    • Updated the icons for all actions and parent settings.
    • Selecting the parent setting will open a panel containing related settings.
    • The panel includes tooltips that provide a brief description for each field.
  • Formatting pane – Access the groups of settings available from the ribbon directly in the formatting pane.
  • Modal dialogs – Revamped the UI, making it more intuitive.
  • Pop-up messages – Adhere to a consistent UI style, creating a cohesive look throughout the visual.
  • Data table – Improved the default design.
  • Help tab – Added a dedicated Help tab within PXLT that provides direct access to documentation and support resources, ensuring users can find assistance when needed.

Lazy Loading Configuration

The latest version of PXLT provides the following improvements to the lazy loading set up, allowing you to control how many records are fetched and rendered, while making it more intuitive.

  • Enable Lazy Loading – This setting allows you to enable or disable lazy loading.
  • Number of Initial Rows – This setting allows you to specify the initial number of records to load from the database and display in the table.
  • Number of Rows Loaded on Scroll – This setting determines how many additional records are loaded into the table as the user scrolls down, ensuring a smooth experience when navigating through large datasets.
  • These settings are now accessible from the Data Interaction panel.

Data Export

When exporting data from PXLT to Excel, each data record is now included, even if lazy loading is turned on and not all records were previously loaded. The visual displays a notification that the operation may take longer depending on the data size.

Formulas

When rearranging columns containing formulas or cell references in the data table or through the Visualizations pane, the formulas are now accurately calculated, reflecting the updated column order.

Navigation

In PXLT reports, the Excel navigation keyboard shortcuts now function correctly.

Copy-Paste Function

When copying a value and pasting it into multiple cells, PXLT no longer crashes.

Error Message

The error message dialog now functions correctly and closes when you click OK.

Payload

This version resolves the issue of the selection column being skipped from the payload.
