Power XL Table v25.3 Release Notes

This topic describes the new features and resolved issues in Power XL Table v25.3, released on October 20, 2025.

Power XL Table v25.3.2 New Feature

Power XL Table v25.3.2 was released on November 03, 2025.

Title Description

Empty Cell Writeback Behavior Setting

This release introduces a new setting in the Writeback Settings section, allowing you to control how empty cells are handled during writeback operations.

  • Write As Empty String (Default) – Sends "" to maintain the original behavior.
  • Write As Null – Sends NULL for systems that require null values during writeback.

This setting ensures compatibility with your target system's requirements while maintaining the expected default behavior.

Power XL Table v25.3 New Features

Title Description

AI-Powered Features

This release introduces AI assistance in Power XL Table. Generate formulas using natural language descriptions, create pivot table layouts with simple prompts, and analyse your data by asking questions in plain English. Use built-in AI formulas for sentiment analysis, translations, and intelligent text queries directly in your spreadsheet cells. Enable these features through the AI Features setting in Data Interaction.

Power XL Table v25.3 Resolved Issues

Title Description

Cascading Validation Issue with Duplicate Hierarchy Members

Cascading dropdowns no longer concatenate display names and IDs when multiple IDs share the same display name. Higher-level attributes can now have identical values for different elements without incorrect concatenation appearing in the dropdown display.

Cell Protection Not Retained

Cell protection settings now remain in place after saving layout changes. When you unlock cells and apply sheet protection, those settings will be preserved even after discarding other changes or switching between report tabs.

Conditional Formatting Removed

Conditional formatting now remains applied to other rows after copying and pasting data from Excel into Power XL Table cells.

Dropdown Lists Issues in Grid

Dropdown menus now remain available after dragging data in the grid. Previously, cells would lose their dropdown functionality when users copied values by dragging them. This fix also resolves issues where dropdown menus would disappear from entire columns after selecting values in edit mode or performing drag and drop operations.

Slow Initial Rendering Performance

This release resolves the issue where Power XL Table reports with even small data volumes would have delays with a blank white screen during initial data rendering.

Button and Formula Issues

  • Fixed an issue where the Insert button required multiple clicks to add rows and sometimes created duplicate entries.
  • CUBEFILTER formulas now work correctly with SmartFilter values.
  • Reset Layout no longer causes the application to crash.

Writeback Spinner Error

The loading spinner now properly disappears after writeback operations complete successfully. Previously, the spinner would continue to show even after data was saved to the backend.

Power XL Table v25.3 Known Issue

This known issue in Power XL Table v25.3 may occur when enabling the new AI features. We are actively working on a fix:

AI-generated values are not cached, causing the AI engine to make new API calls each time the report reloads, which may impact report loading performance.
